After earning a bachelor’s degree in English at Belmont with a minor in journalism, Jordan went to work for The Review Appeal, where his stories earned several Tennessee Press Association awards.

Carpe Diem offers a full range of photographic services, including weddings, individual and family portraits, children’s athletic teams, event photography, brochure and public relations work, and even pet photography. The business uses top-quality materials — in black and white or color — at competitive prices. Some of Jordan’s recent work has included soccer league photography, music industry events, concert photography, album covers, and public relations photography for a real estate development company.

Jordan, who has been married to wife Virginie, a native of France, for nearly 10 years and is the father of 5-year-old son Max, says his background in photojournalism leads to more candid shots than the work of more traditional photographers.

“The trend is toward more informal images, but we can also do formal studio work when our customers request it,” he said.

Muse Haven, located at 813-B Columbia Ave. in Franklin, will showcase Jordan’s photography at a May 22 event. He also plans to display some of his work at Bean Town Coffee Shop in Grassland and The Mellow Mushroom on Main Street.

Jordan’s photography is also featured on the Web in his Rib Magazine at ribmag.com.
