In addition to custom framed and matted prints in various sizes, Jordan will sell magnets and night lights at his Main Street Festival booth.

“These items will feature local landmarks, celebrity shots and travel photos ranging from Central America to Maine to the West Indies to a bullfight in Spain,” he said.

A laptop computer slide show will display further examples of Jordan’s work. Festival goers can order prints from his portfolio, and Jordan also plans to offer on-the-spot candid portraits of individuals and families.

In addition to his photography, Jordan also works as a freelance writer. You may have come across his work in national magazines such as Urb and American Profile or in many local entertainment publications, and you have probably seen him around town shooting events like a Carnton Plantation party or the Heritage Ball.

Jordan’s interest in photography began as soon as he got a camera in his hands as a teenager.

“I got interested in photography at 15 when I got my first single-lens reflex camera for Christmas,” said Jordan, 31, a Franklin native who has also lived for brief stints in Nebraska, Montana and France. “Then at Belmont I took a class that helped ground me in the basics.”
